Many have had mixed feelings about Jahseh “XXXTentacion” Onofry’s sudden passing. Despite dying ridiculously young, the late South Florida rapper influenced many while attempting to recreate his personal legacy. For Cleveland rapper Jabaury (formerly known as Baury), XXX continues to be a major influence along with Joey Bada$$ and Brockhampton. He defines his sound as a blend of Alternative rap, rock, and R&B. This tribute follows his slew of releases dating back to Fall 2017.
Jabaury keeps the mellow guitar melodies with a distorted vocal touch. His sorrowed vocals echo the pain and trauma of Jahseh’s own demons. The added background vocals go on to deepen the pre-existing emotional tension developed by original violins and pianos.
