Oxnard native Anderson .Paak’s career continues to flourish and thrive with the release of The Anderson .Paak EP (building off his 6-track recognition from Compton). This 4-track EP is a collaborative project by Anderson himself and Blended Babies, a production duo striving to leave an everlasting mark on music.

The Ken Koller directed visual is very colorful. Anderson croons with tender, impassioned lyrics. Asher Roth appears to add a vivid, forthright take on this troubled relationship. Donnie’s trumpeting is also present as the video progresses. “Make It Work” is a  The Anderson .Paak EP can be streamed via Apple Music or bought on iTunes and many other digital retail services.

I have already listened to this project and I love that it does not have a heavy synth presence; but is cultivated with minor, fresh hints of Contemporary R&B and Alternative Rock in each track.
