Bordeaux singer-songwriter  Yo Trane recently released the long-awaited visual for his viral single “Late Night Drive” off his 2015 debut EP of the same name. The 21-year-old crooner actively utilizes dark, trap-influenced R&B to create elegant representations surrounding narratives of self-worth, pleasure and heartbreak. Trane’s smooth voice and soft high notes cause lyrics to swiftly penetrate souls. Local French producer Kalim assisted in creating the  7-track project relaying more nocturnal and emotional sounds.

Late Night Drive is aimed at the people who have trouble sleeping at night so they would rather hang out with their lovers or take a spin in their whips to remedy the insomnia.

Nikolaus Popp  is the man behind this visual. Yo passionately sings during late night explorations around the city. He seeks to be her savior while hoping to provide better. The video narrative follows closely to his touching lyrics.

Yo Trane deserves a lot more recognition. If you’re a fan of Bryson Tiller, PartyNextDoor or The Weeknd, he will appeal to you. Stream his project below and purchase it here.
