Greensboro rapper Nasir Ali has confident prowess when he steps into the mic. “GC4E” seeks to be an anthem about the city that raised him. Instead, it diverts to discussing temporary love and what could have been. Ali pens his splendid memories into a colorful storyline over a soulful production.

Within the track, he relies patience and faith to withstand the struggles of time. Ultimately, Nasir’s retrospective lens attempts to balance wise lines with a momentary muse. For a somewhat sentimental slow jam, it shows that Greensboro has been good to him.

His debut tape Esco SZN will acquaint you with the North Carolina native. The fifteen track album showcases penmanship and artistic versatility. One thing is for sure: Wherever music takes him, he won’t forget about the Gate City.
